Kathmandu’s Tribhuvan International Airport remains closed to international traffic, following the Turkish Airlines’ crash landing on 4 March, until 10am local time on 7 March at the earliest, as efforts to remove the damaged Airbus from the runway continue.
Tribhuvan is the only international airport in Nepal, so travel into the country remains very difficult, with only road routes available. Travel by road can be hazardous, owing to poor road conditions. Check for updates with your airline or travel company.
