A German national was reportedly abducted by car-riding armed men along Barangay Anunas, Angeles City, last Wednesday afternoon.Chief Superintendent Rudy Lacadin, Police Regional Office-3 (PRO3) director, identified the alleged abducted foreigner as Christian Michael Morman, manager of Penthouse Hotel in Angeles City.
Lacadin said Morman, together with his girlfriend Anavie Arellano, 19, were on board a Toyota Innova (with license plate AAU-6969) driven by Roberto Pascua on their way to Macran Cement Plant located at Barangay Anunas when a Silver Toyota Grandia van without plate number blocked their path. Two of the three suspects armed with guns forcibly abducted Morman while his girlfriend and driver were left behind, Lacadin said.
Lacadin said the suspects then fled towards Barangay Margot, Angeles City.Two hours after the alleged abduction, an abandoned vehicle was reported to police authorities and described as Silver Hi-Ace Grandia GL van with license plate number YSF-7105. Police said the said vehicle was allegedly left and parked in front of the house of one Jun Pangan near Sulipan Elementary School, Barangay Sulipan, Apalit, Pampanga by two unidentified men.The report said the suspect’s vehicle drove around the said vicinity followed by motorcycle driven by an unidentified man wearing white t-shirt.
The unidentified driver of the said van alighted and talked to the driver of the said motorcycle for a minute and then left the van in front of the house, Lacadin said.
The Apalit Police Station has made a request to Scene of the Crime Operatives to examine the van.The abandoned vehicle was turned over to the Highway Patrol Unit-3, here.
